How to get perfume off of clothes without putting them in the washer?

I spray perfume on my clothes the night before so the smell is more subtle by morning. I sprayed my shirt, then got an IM, brought the perfume bottle with me to respond, forgot I had already sprayed my shirt, and gave it another squirt. This particular perfume only takes one spray and it smells strong all throughout the day. Anything more gives me a headache. So, how do I get the scent off of my clothes? I don’t want to suffer a headache all day long at school tomorrow.

fresh air. hang it outside over night. or you could wear something different tomorrow and wear that shirt later in the week.
If the perfume gives you a headache you should consider trading it off to a friend that likes the scent. If you get headaches from scents you should see an allergist to find out what scents and combination of scents cause you irritation and headaches. Then, before you purchase another bottle of perfume you need to do your homework and find out what ingredients are in it. That information is usually available for higher end perfumes.

If the smell doesn’t come out of your clothes when you wash them, try a 1/4 cup of baking soda in the wash cycle. It takes out odors and leaves laundry smelling fresh.
